varo
money
"Varo" is used to refer to money, often small sums of money like "pocket money" or "walking-around money". The origins of this word are unclear. "Varar" in Mexico means "to cheat", so "varo" could mean "illegitimate earnings". However "aguantar vara" also means "to withstand punishment", so it may also be related to payment for a chore.
